Today, the Iran Express Tour begins with Golestan Palace, a royal complex over 400 years old. Persian artists decorated the palace with peculiar ornaments such as tiling, mirror works, and paintings. Golestan Palace surpassed the four kings of the Qajar and Pahlavi dynasties who took their crowns in its majesty. The palace is a UNESCO World Heritage and embraces the symbolic tomb of Naser-al-Din Shah Qajar. The tour takes us to walk to overlook Tehran Grand Bazaar. Today, as part of the Iran Express Tour, we are exploring the fascinating legacies of Kashan on our way to Isfahan. Our journey begins at the Fin Garden, a UNESCO Heritage site that showcases an authentic Persian garden. The garden is not only a beautiful attraction but also tells stories of the contemporary era and the Persian paradise. Our next stop in Kashan takes us to the Boroujerdi House, which combines the desert style of wind-catchers with Persian traditional models of an iwan. Boroujerdi House shows superb plasterwork in interior and exterior decoration. Next in order of time, we touch Sultan Amir Ahmad Bathhouse to feel Persian architecture in Kashan. Isfahan is a city of dazzling glories and Perso-Islamic masterpieces. It is renowned for its skilled craftsmen and stands out as a highlight of Iran. The city is not only the hub of architectural and handicraft arts but also of urban structures and music. Isfahan is a treasure trove of mosques, cathedrals, mansions, bridges, and gardens, decorated with wall paintings and frescoes that depict ancient battles and love stories.

Isfahan Highlights in A Glance

The Iran Express Tour of Isfahan starts at the gate of Naqsh-e Jahan Square, which is recognized as a UNESCO Heritage Site. The Qeysarieh Gate building was constructed in memory of the king and serves as the main entrance to Isfahan Grand Bazaar. From there, we will visit the Meidan-e Emam (the square), which is considered the masterpiece of the chief architect, Sheikh Bahaee. During the tour, we will also participate in a workshop on the art of Minakari in the Bazaar. This ancient Persian art involves enameling objects to bring heaven into them. The art is used to decorate metal, mostly silver, and copper, or tiles with patterns and paintings that are inspired by the artist’s personal taste.

Firstly, we will walk to Sheikh Lotf Allah Mosque to see the genius interior and exterior decoration of the dome. The mosque was a royal one for Shah Abbas Safavid. Next in order of our journey, we visit the Shah Mosque which is the architectural highlight of the square. The mosque depicts Persian architecture in the Islamic era. Shah Mosque consists of iwans, domes, tilling, and supreme engineering of voice-echoing art. Finally, our trip to the square will end with Ali Qapu Palace. The palace is a gallery of art in terms of music, painting, and decoration in an acoustic structure.

After nourishing our minds in the square we walk to Chehel Sotun Garden (UNESCO Heritage). The palace has a relaxing atmosphere with eye-catching paintings. Then, we travel to the white river to indulge ourselves in the beauty of the worldly known Si-O Se Pol Bridges.

Shah Mosque is one of the masterpieces of Sheikh Baha’i. The Safavid Dynasty built the mosque during the period of the Renaissance in Isfahan.

We will be leaving Isfahan and traveling to Shiraz, with a stop at the IzadKhast Complex. Sassanid kings built the complex with adobe. It consists of a fortress, fire temple, caravansary, bathroom, and the city of IzadKhast. The Iranians renovated the complex by constructing a mosque over the fire temple after the Arab conquest of Persia. After visiting the IzadKhast Complex, we will continue our journey to the Global City of Wood Carvings. we will discover the very skillful art of Monabatkari. Artists replete woods with religious designs or flower motifs in Monabatkari. Finally, we touch Pasargadae, which is the next stop on the Iran Express Tour itinerary. Visa Restriction: Entry will be refused to travelers with any evidence of visiting Israel – not just Israeli entry stamps.

It is a condition of Iran travel that clients must have comprehensive travel insurance for international tours. We reserve the right to withdraw clients if it becomes apparent that clients are unfit. There will be No refund. It is also a requirement that clients do not cause any significant disruption to the tour or the tour group. GoPersis may refuse admission on the Iran tours, or require the client to withdraw if participation causes significant disruption.

Regarding the number of passengers, Go Persis DMC reserves comfortable and air-conditioned coaches. The coaches take travellers throughout the tour and are at any service at the request of the tour guide. Go Persis DMC manages all airport transfers from your arrival to departure for domestic and international flights. In addition, taking travellers to any train or bus station resumes the itinerary.

Iranian Debit Card is for international travellers to provide them access to the Iranian payment system. Travellers can recharge the Debit cards in currencies such as Kr, EURO and AED. Iran Debit card presents an expiry date, and travellers can receive cash in Rials everywhere. The cardholder can withdraw money from ATMs of all Iranian banks. They can also purchase tickets at museums, go shopping, and even use it for internet shopping services. At the end of the trip, travellers can receive the remaining amount in cash in Rials. Besides, travellers can purchase any other currency at exchange offices.

Iranian cuisine is heavily based on rice, bread, fresh vegetables, herbs and fruit. Meat is mostly lamb or mutton. The national drink of Iran is chai (tea), always served scalding hot, black and strong. All sorts of delicious fresh fruit juices, milkshakes and yoghurt drinks are available throughout Iran.

Alcohol is strictly forbidden. Do not take any alcohol into Iran.

The most visible daily expressions of Iran’s Shi’ite Islam are the modest dress code, and rules for behavior at mosques, both of which apply for men and women.

Dress code for women: Women are required to wear loose-fitting clothing which covers the arms and legs (long pants). A coat or top that comes down to mid-thigh (light weight trench-coat), and a headscarf. During visits to some mosques, women will also be required to wear a special robe provided at the entrance.

Dress code for men: Men are required to wear trousers and shirts with either long-sleeves or half-sleeves. (No singlets). Shorts are not permitted.
