Tehran is the most modern city and capital of Iran. It clearly shows the classical and modern combination of Persian culture in the south of the Alborz mountain range. Persian Literature Tour starts with Azadi Tower, a symbol of Modern Tehran and the contemporary national gate of Iran. Mashhad is the hometown of the greatest turquoise mines in the world. It shines as the capital of spirituality due to Imam Reza Holy Shrine in the city center. Mashhad produces more than 90 percent of the Saffron of the globe and is the birthplace of Nader Shah (famous as Iran Napoleon Bonaparte).

Persian Literature Tour with a pleasant morning drive brings us to Tous County to visit the mausoleum of the most influential poet in Persian history. Ferdowsi maintained the Persian language from being destroyed, by writing further than 50000 epic poems all by authentic Persian words in Shahnameh. The tomb of Ferdowsi is a unique imitation of the Achaemenid architectural style with his poems engraved on it. Soon after, we will visit Mehdi Akhavan-Sales Tomb a contemporary poet who is called the Ferdowsi of the time. His social and political instructing poems have been feeding popular traditional singers of Persia.

Shajarian Reinvents Persian Music Through Persian Literature

After that, we let our ears listen to Mohammad Reza Shajarian’s songs next to his tomb. He is the greatest master of Persian classic music. Shajarian worked hard to spread the music of this land and introduce its culture and art beyond borders. He is a label for the music of this country. He did a great service to patriotic music, such as the Picasso Prize, the UNESCO Honorary Diploma, and the Beta from Stanford University. Then, we will walk to Parviz Meshkatian Tomb who was a famous and popular musician, composer, and university teacher. Today, the Persian Literature Tour begins with Yazd Jameh Mosque. We will start visiting the genius heritage of the Meidan with Sheikh Lotf Allah Mosque (UNESCO Heritage). It amazes visitors with the genius interior and exterior decoration of the hall, dome, and Shabestan. Sheikh Lotf Allah Mosque was a royal mosque dedicated to Shah Abbas Safavid Harem.

After that, we will visit Boroujerdi House which combines the desert style of wind-catchers with Persian traditional models of iwanBoroujerdi House consists of superb plasterwork in interior and exterior decoration.

Then, we will touch Sultan Amir Ahmad Bathhouse to feel Persian architecture in a traditional bath. Next in order of time, we walk to Tabatabaee House which is an incredible type of Persian house. Tabatabaei House shows Iranian art with its stone reliefs, stucco, and colored glasses. After that, we will visit Mohtasham Kashani Tomb. He was an influential Shi’a poet during the Safavid dynasty whose poems are mostly about the tragedy of Ashura. Finally, we travel to visit Agha Bozorg Mosque which is the only one in its model as a mosque with a sunken courtyard.

Visa Restriction: Entry will be refused to travelers with any evidence of visiting Israel – not just Israeli entry stamps.

It is a condition of Iran travel that clients must have comprehensive travel insurance for international tours. We reserve the right to withdraw clients if it becomes apparent that clients are unfit. There will be No refund. It is also a requirement that clients do not cause any significant disruption to the tour or the tour group. GoPersis may refuse admission on the Iran tours, or require the client to withdraw if participation causes significant disruption.

Regarding the number of passengers, Go Persis DMC reserves comfortable and air-conditioned coaches. The coaches take travellers throughout the tour and are at any service at the request of the tour guide. Go Persis DMC manages all airport transfers from your arrival to departure for domestic and international flights. In addition, taking travellers to any train or bus station resumes the itinerary.

Iranian Debit Card is for international travellers to provide them access to the Iranian payment system. Travellers can recharge the Debit cards in currencies such as Kr, EURO and AED. Iran Debit card presents an expiry date, and travellers can receive cash in Rials everywhere. The cardholder can withdraw money from ATMs of all Iranian banks. They can also purchase tickets at museums, go shopping, and even use it for internet shopping services. At the end of the trip, travellers can receive the remaining amount in cash in Rials. Besides, travellers can purchase any other currency at exchange offices.

Iranian cuisine is heavily based on rice, bread, fresh vegetables, herbs and fruit. Meat is mostly lamb or mutton. The national drink of Iran is chai (tea), always served scalding hot, black and strong. All sorts of delicious fresh fruit juices, milkshakes and yoghurt drinks are available throughout Iran.

Alcohol is strictly forbidden. Do not take any alcohol into Iran.

The most visible daily expressions of Iran’s Shi’ite Islam are the modest dress code, and rules for behavior at mosques, both of which apply for men and women.

Dress code for women: Women are required to wear loose-fitting clothing which covers the arms and legs (long pants). A coat or top that comes down to mid-thigh (light weight trench-coat), and a headscarf. During visits to some mosques, women will also be required to wear a special robe provided at the entrance.

Dress code for men: Men are required to wear trousers and shirts with either long-sleeves or half-sleeves. (No singlets). Shorts are not permitted.
