Qeimeh Nesar is served at weddings, vows on the days of Ashura Tasua, and the new year’s night. “Gheymeh Nesar” consists of two separate words, Gheymeh means stew prepared with minced meat, and Nesar means what is served for wedding guests. Such dish, in addition to its pleasant taste, has a charming appearance. The combination of orange peel slices with barberry, pistachio, and almond slices, gives the table an ideal look. Serving this good food is like Chelo Gosht (Persian rice and meat); The stew is poured on the rice, decorated with saffron rice, barberry, and special nuts. The people of Qazvin usually serve this dish with herbs and yogurt.
